Former ODM Executive Director Magerer Langat is back to elective politics.
The former Kipkelion Member of Parliament has announced that he will be seeking election as the area MP on August 9, but on United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
The ‘Kazi Sasa’ ideology maker is planning to launch his campaigns as he seeks endorsement by the area elders on Saturday January 29.
Having been an a Member of Parliament for Kericho East, now Kipkelion West Constituency in 2007, Magarer will be hoping to use his experience to reclaim the seat.
Magerer was in 2014 unceremoniously bundled out of ODM over loyalty claims, forcing him to take a break from politics.
He has since established himself as a member of UDA and is hoping to get his feet back in the ground ahead of the polls.
In his latest strategy, Magerer is anchoring his campaigns on; equitable distribution of Constituency bursary and resources, wealth and job creation for the youths and women, fiscal discipline, competency in service delivery and minimal wastage of Constituency funds.
He has also mentioned zero tolerance on corruption, involvement of Constituency residents in the fight against this menace, as well as involvement of Kipkelion West residents in the key decision-making processes.
