This x (formerly Twitter) post with a video claiming to show the former Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria outside State House using vulgar language after being fired is FALSE.
The video is accompanied by the caption: “Moses Kuria outside statehouse after being fired unceremoniously.”
In the video, Kuria speaks on being blamed for every wrong thing that happens in Kenya and says that he is tired of stupid media.
“I’m tired of stupid media..If someone accuses me, bring them here. Every wrong thing that happens in this country is blamed on Moses Kuria. F$%k you,” says Kuria in the video before storming off.
The video was shared on 11 July 2024 after Kuria and other cabinet secretaries were dismissed after President William Ruto’s dissolution of cabinet. The only Cabinet Secretary that was exempted was the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
To find out if the video is authentic, Lake Region Bulletin performed a Yandex video search accompanied by a keyword search using ‘Moses Kuria using a vulgar language on live tv’ and found out that the video in question is old.

According to the original video ,the then Member of Parliament for Gatundu South was being interviewed on being blamed by other aspirants for causing commotion during an electoral process in Gatundu South constituency.
In the video, Kuria can be heard expressing the same sentiments as in the video under scrutiny which also established that the location where the interview took place was Gatundu South constituency during an electoral process.
Additionally, as of 12 July 2024, Kuria had not released an official statement commenting about his demotion as the Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management CS on his official social media page or on credible local media.
