Ugenya MP elect Ochieng, Ranguma, Olago ditches Azimio joins Kenya Kwanza

The Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) has officially joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The party headed by Ugenya MP-elect David Ochieng has officially decamped from the Azimio La Umoja coalition to team with President elect William Ruto.

He was accompanied by former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, outgoing Kisumu Senator Fred Outa, Four time Kisumu West MP Olago Oluoch and Eliud Owalo.

While officiating and confirming the union Ruto said that both parties were greatly pleased as the purpose of the coalition is to build and advocate for national prosperity.

“We are committed to partnerships that help us build one nation for the prosperity of all Kenyans,” said Ruto.

Ethnic barriers

Ruto said that he is seeking to breaks ethnic barriers and that he’s looking forward to a government that will not leave any region behind in implementing the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.

“We have committed that after we are sworn in and establish a government, no region will be left behind. We want to move forward as a nation,” he emphasised.

Ochieng on the other hand said that MDG was the piece of the puzzle missing in the Kenya Kwanza Coalition.

“MDG is that part of the jigsaw puzzle that has been missing in your matrix to govern the country,” said Ochieng.

The party which hails from the Nyanza region is the second to join the coalition after the United Democratic Movement (UDM) party.
