The King Question

Apesi however has a different view.

The Obunga born musician says he is not the king but rather the founder of modern Luo music.

The ‘Kublus’ hitmaker now says all artists are talented differently and accepts competition from other artists.

“I don’t believe am the king because anybody can call himself a king but am the founder of this genre,” he said.

‘Mnyama Mkali’ as he calls himself says the competition between them is healthy and only improves the taste of Luo music.

“Both Breezy and Awiko are my friends and we have worked together, I came before them and I have been advising them on how to manage their,” he said.

He went ahead to state, “We are not beefing we are making luo music relevant.”

His latest track is ‘Tumechoka’ with 15,000 views on You Tube.
