Police in Bungoma have launched a manhunt for Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa for allegedly branding constituency’s CDF motor vehicles with UDA party colours.

The legislator is said to have illegally branded the vehicle with his campaign posters as well as those of Kenya Kwanza flagbearer William Ruto.

According to Kimilili sub-county police boss Mwita Maroa, Barasa has also been accused of illegally changing the number plate of the vehicle from GK948J to KBS 709 D.

“We did this in a joint operation involving the Government Check Unit officers from Nairobi, Serious Crimes personnel, DCI officers from Nairobi and Kimilili,” he said.

The contingent stormed the homestead and towed the vehicle to Kimilili police station and later to Bungoma before heading to Nairobi
