It’s a wrap up for popular TV Show, Selina

Kalasha Awards Best Tv Drama in 2018 and 2019 winner, ‘Selina’ is finally coming to an end.

The popular Kenyan Swahili telenovela series which has kept various Kenyans glued to the screen is having it’s last days on air after six seasons and 935 episodes.

According to a statement issued by the local television airing the show, the show is set to come to an end in April, 2022.

“We conclude Selina after six successful seasons of drama and intrigue. Selina remained  the undisputed king of prime TV and every season is bowing out as the greatest, longest running daily Tv show in Kenya,” read a statement shared by the head of the channel.

Selina tells the story of an intelligent woman who comes from a humble background but has great ambitions ending up as a house help while holding her dreams to further her education.

The role Selina is played by Celesetine Gachuhi who works for the Mackenzies and against all odds wins the heart of the employer  for having a golden touch in whatever  she puts her hand on.

The show was directed and produced by Reuben Odanga who says the show was his biggest highlight.
