Nark Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has blasted the media for perpetrating the ‘two-horse’ narrative ahead of August 9, presidential election.

Karua who hosted One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals in Kirinyaga said the media has persistently driven the notion that there are only two presidential candidates.

She asked the media to consider other presidential candidates.

“Kenya is not short of horses. I would wish to ask our brothers in the media to stop that narrative,” said Karua.

In what appeared to be drumming up support for Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Karua said the next six weeks will give a clear picture of the horses in the presidential race.

“The next President is here with us. We are going to give you a surprise in the next two weeks. You will not be talking about two horses,” said Karua.

Karua is seeking for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat which she narrowly lost to Anne Waiguru in 2017.

She has however expressed confidence that this time she will triumph, pledging to uplift the lives of Kirinyaga residents who have been given a raw deal by the sitting Governor.
